Abstract

This project will provide a mechanism for both the mining title holder and the ANM (National Mining Agency) to store a photographic record, which will allow to clearly establish the "before, during and after" the status of the mining title in terms of the status of the surface granted to the mining licensee, and through the taking of environmental variables with the respective sensors, validate the state of deforestation, water quality, air, etc.


Once the photographic record is in place, both the mining and environmental authorities will have sufficient elements to make administrative and sanctioning decisions in the particular case.


This research project will seek the adaptation of a drone, which will facilitate monitoring of compliance with legal and environmental requirements, said prototype will aim to care for the environment, by monitoring the mining process in Colombia in all its stages, evidencing early possible environmental damage, as well as the impact on ecosystems and deforestation by the mining process, through the collection of reliable and timely information.
