Assessment of the conditions of multimodal systems for the promotion of exports in areas of influence of the rio Magdalena

Abstract
The issue of multimodal systems, exports and the Magdalena River appear to be one, due in part to the intimate relationship between displacement and economic growth, culture and competitiveness. In this sense, the objective of the research was to assess the conditions of multimodal systems for the promotion of exports in areas of influence of the Magdalena River. The methodology of qualitative approach, the population three (3) professionals working in certain sectors that converge with the export and transport of goods and equipment, the collection instruments were an interview and documentary review and a computer tool was used to analyze the data. It can be highlighted that transport conditions, regardless of the mode, are relevant in international competitiveness and in the context of foreign trade, since with lower costs incorporated into transport; it is possible to increase participation in international markets and the final prices of imported and exported products are usually more competitive by strengthening the supply chain approach. Although multimodal systems for promoting exports in areas of influence of the Magdalena River fulfil their function, conditions are not the best, since it is necessary to inject budget and human talent to improve the operation.
