Abstract

This scientific review article shows how biotechnology offers the possibility of incorporating the chain of by-products of agro-industrial processes, in this case of the dairy industry through the use of whey for the manufacture of fermented fertilizers applied in organic farming, becoming a great possibility to increase productive yields in the field thanks to the fertilization and microbial life of the soil, because by incorporating efficient micro-organisms they optimize the processes of organic matter decomposition as well as effective nutrient uptake by plants and at the same time reduce the degree of contamination in soils.
